Two decades ago, actor Daniel Radcliffe made his debut in the movie industry through the Harry Potter movie series that catapulted his name. Now that he has ended his career as Harry since 2011, Daniel is not sure if he wants to return to this wizarding franchise in the near future.
Daniel Radcliffe is a London-born actor who is best known for his role as Harry Potter since 2001. Even though he has starred in various big movies and indie movies in Hollywood, it is quite difficult to separate the figure of Daniel from Harry, the bespectacled orphan wizard.
Yesterday, attending the Harry Potter reunion which was broadcast on the HBO Max streaming service, many fans also wondered about Daniel's willingness to return as Harry on the big screen. In response to this question, Daniel said he was "not sure."
"Right now I feel like I'm 'free' from the Harry Potter franchise and can do a lot of the things I love, he said. 'never'."
As an actor who is now a legend among movie lovers, Daniel equates his career with the actors in the Star Wars movies. If Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford took 30 years before returning to star in Star Wars movies, then Daniel felt it took the same time for the Harry Potter franchise.
Look at the Star Wars actors; it will take 30 to 40 years before they are willing to return to the big screen,” he continued.
For now, the Harry Potter franchise is being expanded through the Fantastic Beasts prequel movie series. While waiting for clarity from Daniel, which could come in 30 years, fans will be treated to the new adventures of Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which is slated for release in early April 2022.
