Minecraft 1.18 Is Due To Launch This Month But Three Big Features Are "on Hold"

The snapshot betas were growing ever-smaller, so we knew it was coming, but now Mojang has announced it as official. The Minecraft 1.18 release date with all Caves & Cliffs Part 2 features is scheduled to be released at the end November. The update will be available across all platforms Minecraft supports, and will bring us a variety of new biomes, a revamped world generation, and more.

Minecraft 1.18 will be available on November 30. The Java Edition update will be accessible on Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs as well as the Bedrock Edition will launch on the PlayStation 4 - take a deep breath - PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Windows 10 and 11 PCs.

The update also includes new world generation and improved cave systems, along with candles. But, Minecraft servers announced certain features have been pushed back from 1.18 - and they aren't included in 1.19 (also called The Wild update) either, as the devs have now confirmed.

Archaeology, bundles and goat Horns, bundles, and goat "have been put on hold", as the devs explain in the announcement. "They aren't put on hold, we just had to put them on hold for now.
