After Suddenly Winning the Lottery , Transnational Agent is the next movie of the land of kimchi that makes me laugh from beginning to end. Not particularly groundbreaking, but for me, the movie is still at a decent level that deserves your time to enjoy.
Transnational Agent is the story of Lim Cheol Ryung (Hyun Bin) - an elite North Korean agent who is sent to South Korea to hunt down a criminal of a large scale. Kang Jin Tae (Yoo Hae Jin) is a member of the Korean crime prevention team who reluctantly cooperates with Cheol Ryung to complete the case.
There is also the participation of Jack (Daniel Henney) - a member of the FBI who had a quarrel with Cheol Ryung. All three had to reluctantly "face displeasure" but cooperate with each other to solve the case. After finding many clues, it seemed that the mission was about to be completed, but another shocking secret was undone, leaving the whole country of Korea in danger of suffering great damage. Their new mission is to stop that conspiracy from happening before it's too late.
For me, it is clear that Transnational Agent is not a new story, whereby the film still adheres to the familiar case-breaking journey between the authorities and the criminal association.
