The French Bulldog is exclusively a pet dog. Despite his appearance as a "ferocious molosse", his character is very cheerful: full of joie de vivre, he is always ready to play and is of a very gentle nature. He loves children and is for them a tireless playmate, but he is also suitable for the elderly because he does not need to do much exercise. When he is older, he stays a player and likes to "clown", but he is also able to transform into a quiet, reserved and peaceful dog. He loves his master and needs to stay with him as much as possible. Occasionally, he can be a very vigilant keeper: he is a small dog that thinks he is a big one. He is a real emotional sponge: "My master is not well and neither am I." He is affectionate but exclusive, he likes his comfort and his naps.
