It's no secret that baby clothes can get a bit dirty during your baby's daily activities. Babies have no control over their bodily functions, and they often waste food as well. With a new baby in the house, you will surely find that you need to do laundry much more often than before. While some stains on baby clothes can be a bit more difficult to change, most can be removed simply by changing your laundry routine. Here are some tips for washing your baby's clothes.

Preparing your clothes for washing

Always consult the laundry instructions before putting them in a generic wash. While many of your baby's garments or dresses are unlikely to have specific instructions such as "dry clean only," some garments may need to be washed on the delicate cycle, in colors, or at an unusual temperature.

Choose the right detergent

Most baby clothes can be washed with a common detergent, although there is a special detergent for baby clothes. Some mothers cannot or cannot buy special detergent just to use with their baby's clothes. Most health experts don't think special dishwasher detergents are necessary if your baby has normal skin type. However, if your baby has eczema or has shown other signs of sensitive skin, be more careful with the detergent you choose. If you are concerned about using a regular detergent, wash a thing or two in the same wash as your clothes with the regular detergent and see how your baby's skin reacts.

Know your spots

Different stains need different treatments. For protein-based stains such as urine, breast milk, feces, and saliva stains, be sure to soak the garment in cold water before washing properly. This can help loosen stains, while soaking in warm water can "boil" the protein, making it difficult to remove. If you are trying to remove food stains, be sure to remove excess or crust from the food before attempting to remove the stain. Soak in cold water with a small amount of liquid detergent for approx. 30 minutes. After pre-bleeding, wash with warm (not boiling) water and detergent. If the stain remains, repeat the smoothing process again, https://www.jiblaundry.com/.
