Review: The book is helpful for those with little understanding of how to utilize LinkedIn. However, as someone who purchased her previous book, The 2016 LinkedIn Guide for Financial Advisors, it was a pretty big letdown. With what appears to be only 26 new pages of content - none of which address potential pros and cons of Sales Navigator - I felt duped buying, essentially, the same book a second time; hence the 3-star rating.
If you haven't read her previous book, then, I do recommend this book and would give it a 5-star rating.
But, if you already read her previous book, not a lot of new ground is covered in the new version. Don't waste your money like I did.

Review: I found Claire's book to be a solid reminder that in today's 'sales world,' those that are genuine and value oriented will stand out. A guide for sure, but not an easy undertaking for an advisor looking to 'set it and forget it' on some automated social media platform. Linkedin, Facebook, and Twitter have made it EASIER to see and find people, but truly connecting is still a time-measured art. Claire reminds us that we need to be patient, careful, and purposeful in curating our online presence.

Review: This amazingly helpful book was worth it just for Chapter 4 - How to Use LinkedIn to Generate Referrals. Claire has broken down how to effectively connect with potential clients in a genuine and honest way. Speaking for myself, as an introverted advisor with Sun Life, generating referrals has been challenging for me right from the beginning. After incorporating my personal favourite tip - 'surprising and delighting' someone in my network with a 'small, thoughtful and unexpected gift', I am proud to say that I've gotten 2 referrals that I know I would not have otherwise received.
I am eager to continue to apply her many other tips around reciprocity and being a generous advisor; one without expectations, in my day to day networking activities and client meetings.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to learn more about growing a sustainable and heart-centered financial business.

Review: am a financial adviser and I am very happy I read this book. My LinkedIn profile looks much better after following the advice in this book. As I read this book, I felt like I had an expert sitting next to me and succinctly telling me what I needed to do to improve each individual section of my profile for maximum effect. When I was complete, I had many page corners turned down to go back and reference. Overall, I feel much better about this aspect of my online marketing. I highly recommend you buy this.
