Hello Pastelink users!
We're excited to announce a major update to Pastelink's monetization system. Previously, monetized links had to be generated and shared manually. Now, monetization happens automatically — when you enable it on a paste, all links within your content are replaced with monetized shortlinks at display time. Your original links are always preserved and visible when editing.
You can enable monetization per-paste when creating or editing, or set a default provider in your account defaults so all new pastes are monetized automatically: https://pastelink.net/account/defaults
We've also expanded provider support. In addition to Ad Maven, Loot Labs and Adshrink, you can now connect GP Links and PublicEarn as monetization providers: https://pastelink.net/account/monetize
If you use multiple providers, you can now set a failover provider. If your chosen provider ever becomes unavailable, the system will automatically switch to your failover so you never miss out on earnings. You can set this to a specific provider or let Pastelink pick one automatically.
For those of you with a lot of pastes, we've added bulk monetization controls to the dashboard. You can now enable, disable or switch providers for multiple pastes at once using the bulk actions menu.
If you'd like to exclude a specific link from monetization, simply prefix it with >> in your paste body. For example:
https://example.com — this link will display normally but won't be monetized.
We've also fixed a number of bugs in this update:
Custom fonts selected when creating a paste now correctly display when viewing the paste
The archive page no longer errors when viewing deleted pastes
Paste titles with special characters are now truncated correctly
Various improvements to provider connection validation
Thanks for reading and for using Pastelink!
