US Army 507th Parachute Airborne Infantry Regiment Hawaiian Shirt
The 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment is a United States Army airborne regiment that was activated on 1 October 1941 in the Territory of Hawaii. The regiment served in World War II as part of the 82nd Airborne Division and participated in Operation Overlord, the Normandy invasion, and later the Battle of the Bulge. In May 1951, the regiment was redesignated as the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment (Airborne). It served in Korea during the Korean War and received two battle stars for its service there. The 507th was deactivated on 15 August 1958. It was reactivated on 1 October 1988 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and serves as an airborne training unit. On 22 October 2009, the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment (Airborne) became one of five U.S. Army regiments to be authorized to wear the "Golden Bull" insignia, which commemorates its participation in World War II and Korea.
