Overview
Nelly Bly is undertaking her famous trip around the World with the intention of beating the fictive character Plileas Foggs record by 5 days, when shes contacted by Jules Verne and asked to make a short detour to Amiens to visit him. She cant refuse the honor of meeting the great man, and of course she takes the time to see him, sacrificing her sleep for two days to do so without causing a delay in her timetable. What she doesnt know is that this is not just a simple question of making acquaintance; its a matter of life and death for a man who has ventured through a time portal and is trapped in the 13th century. Jules is counting on her help, and being informed on her adventurous nature (she had had herself interned for 10 days in a mental health asylum on Blackwells Island to write an investigative article) hes certain that she will not refuse. She makes the trip back into time after being reassured that she will exit at the same moment she enters and will be able to continue her trip without losing any time.
