D. Eisenhower (fils du président Dwight Eisenhower, commandant suprême des troupes alliées) et le Vicomte Montgomery of Alamein (fils du maréchal Bernard Montgomery, le brillant stratège militaire). Avec plus de 700 pages, ces ouvrages proposent une histoire militaire extrêmement détaillée de la Seconde Guerre mondiale (dans 39-45) et plus spécifiquement du débarquement (dans D-Day). Pour illustrer le propos des historiens, pas moins de 3000 documents, dont plus de 300 en couleurs, sont présentés.
