Course Description: Vyakarana - IV is the fourth course in a sequence of four courses on Vyākaraṇa (grammar) based on Pāṇini's Aṣṭādhyāyī, a monumental work in the sūtra format that established the grammar of ancient Sanskrit as a language. This course delves into the tradition of the philosophy of Vyakarana, with comparisons to other schools of Indian thought. It also provides an overview of Bhartṛhari's Vākyapadīya, a compendium that elucidates the universal philosophy of language and is considered a pathway to liberation in the Vyākaraṇa tradition.
