We were greeted by a gorgeous lady who seems eager to serve you some of the gorgeous food they have. We ordered chicken soup, beef steak, deer steak as well as a beef steak - Madagascar style. The dishes were absolutely amazing. The beef was extremely tender and cooked to perfection, the deer was also very very good, although i have to say the beef was more tender. The accompanying sauce as well as side orders were plentiful and equally good. Overall i don't think a visit to Iserlohn is complete without hoping in Jagdhaus. Getting there you will either need a car or you can get off at Iserlohn Heide train station and walk through the woods, though I would guess that could take something like 20-30 mins, however the walk is well worth it. The cold starter of smoked trout and horseradish was superb. The service was efficient, fast and friendly. Wine selection was good. If your German is not very good they do have English menu. The resturant was set in the middle of the woods and a lovely area to go and walk off dinner. If you are in the area don't miss out this place, I am looking forward to going back! It is actually nice to leave your car at a parking spot along the main road and walk the 2-3 km to the Jagdhaus. The restaurant is located in a half-timber house which is furnished country-style. It is a bit pricy but well worth a visit if you like traditional German food together with a good beer.
