When drunk with ice, or a splash of spring water the delicacies of this whisky really shine. These monks then allegedly developed the art of distilling further.

Macallan like bouquet followed by a beautifully delicate floral taste that defies its 46 percent proof. I doubt all of their whiskies are as bad as this, as I'm sure I've had some nice Penderyn in the pst, but the Madeira finish is terrible. Very informative, interesting and very enjoyable, thanks to Mia our lovely guide.

Penderyn Madeira 70cl - It may simply vary from batch to batch or I may simply be imagining things! Others come from Evan Williams, to American whiskey-making.

Have passed this place many a time. Only £6 entry for an adult. Included a 1 hour distillery tour taking you through the whole fairly complex process of whiskey production and a history of all the other drinks they make. At the end of the tour about 20 people allowed on each tour group. Best to reserve in advance you end up at a bar where you get to sample one of their whiskeys or collect a miniature sample to take home, before you leave via the shop where you can buy full or miniature size bottles of the same. This represents great value for money. This is a fairly new distillery but the tour is exceptional. It goes through the unique process to Penderyn and how they develop several of their whiskeys, vodka and liqueur. At the end you can either have two good size samples or a mini bottle to take home. The only thing that would have made the tour better is if they would let you wait in the room with the information boards. This would allow people who read at different rates the time to absorb all the information. It was the only part of the tour that felt rushed. Very informative, interesting and very enjoyable, thanks to Mia our lovely guide. I look forward to returning in the near future and enjoying the new updated tours, which I believe will be starting soon. Once again, many thanks Mia! Glad my wife was driving!! We were visiting family for a long weekend and wanted to do something different and so visited the Penderyn distillery and it was well worth the trip. Out tour guide Carys was very informative, engaging and funny. This is excellent value for money especially with the tasting at the end of the tour. We highly recommend this attraction and will definitely be going again.
Dieser goldene Prime signalisiert den Neubeginn der Whiskydestillation in Wales nach über 100 Jahren. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did drinking it. Have passed this place many a time. The Welsh Whisky Company built its Penderyn Distillery in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Elements in 2000, and began distilling whisky from a mash brewed by nearby Brains Brewery. Whisky had been distilled in Wales for hundreds of years, but stopped in 1894. It is bottled at 46% abv. Retrieved 9 November 2013. The scent of the Peated Single Malt is quite servile I was able to pick up hints of it from across the room while I was waiting for the whiskey to breathe.
