Epstein, a chiropractor for over 20 years who combines traditional chiropractic services with new mind/body principles, here describes how to progress successfully through 12 stages of consciousness. The healing practices he describes include suffering through ascent, concluding with spiritual knowing, and a sense of integration with oneself and the general community. Each chapter concludes with a special breathing exercise and affirmation for that stage of healing. Of course, Epstein allows for the "backsliders" and sadly reports that most people remain in stages 1 or 2 throughout their lives. (Part of the process, Epstein acknowledges, is seeking professional help along the healing path when necessary.) With the flourishing of authors like Bernie Siegel, Dean Ornish, and Deepak Chopra, this title will do well in public libraries with a demand for popular medical information.

Review: Just like in his first book, Healing Myths, Dr Epstein has shared his unique and completely different approach to illness and the road to wellness. He treats the body-mind as a unit, not two separate entities "connected" together. When one begins to see the body as a mirror/reflection of what has happened at the level of mind/spirit, it makes more sense in understanding the path to wellness. Dr Epstein takes us on this journey fearlessly and with tremendous intuition.

Review: I was amazed by this book! A great holistic approach, yet so practical! I've never read to many books like this! A friend of mine who's a chiropractor, told me this book should be translated in as many languages as possible, for the benefit of the mankind! Just a warning, if the reader is not well acustomised into the spiritual and psychologogical aspects of the humans, she may find this knowlege kind of impractical! But if you understand that most of the healing power is within you, this is one of the best books on the subject! And if you don't understand this, it will help you with it!

Review: Network Chiropractic recognizes that all is energy and has found a remarkable way to step down subtle energies to the physical plane to aid in healing. Donald M. Epstein, developer of Network Chiropractic, explains how the basic life force functions through twelve stages of healing. From my perspective, the first six stages involve the conscious person understanding the problem and wanting to heal. The latter six impact unconscious levels of the total person, reaching beyond the physical to the spiritual, where true healing occurs. Having experienced Network Chiropractic with two practitioners at different times over a twenty year period, I know this treatment works.
