I inspected it and found that it had reset itself, loosing the correct time and the programs I had entered. I've just read the instructions thoroughly and it says it needs to be charged for 14 hours by plugging into the mains before use to charge the battery back-up. Which I did not do. I instruction assumed that because it will be constantly plugged into the mains anyway it would not need the battery back-up. It is currently charging now for 14 hours so hopefully it wont let me down again after this, but diall says the battery life is 100 hours so that would mean i'd have to do a 14 hour charge without using the timer every 4 days or so.
