It was working perfectly on Windows 7, and then I made the upgrade to Windows 10 now currently on build 1511 and then it just won't detect the drive. I've tried updating the driver if I let it look on its own, it says the driver is up to date. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, with the same results. I've tried directly connecting it to port at the rear of my computer, but the problem remains. I've tried to use Troubleshooting for Hardware and Devices as instructed in the other threads, but it only tries the same thing I have reinstall, restartand the problems are still there. It just won't let me access or even see the drive. So it's really a driver error in Windows 10. Tried virtually everything, decided to turn here for help because I really need the files in there; I've been using it as a backup drive. Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this? I even downloaded the Seagate Media app for Windows and still that would not recognize my device. It keeps saying Driver Error no matter what I do. It just can't see my device. I've been regularly updating Windows 10 in the hopes that a fix will appear, to no avail. One thing I did notice: My laptop, which has Windows 10 as well, can recognize the device. After all your files have been downloaded, the Backup Plus drive will list all of them in the My Online Documents, grouped together by the social media service they were downloaded from: Facebook, Flickr, or... If Seagate Dashboard shares or saves media from your social media networks, information about when the files were transferred appears in the log.
