Overview
I truly believe that helping people is my calling. I am blessed to say that I am living a life of luck and love. With a constant flow of inspiration from seeing others rise and overcome. This intro was inspired by a dear friend's question. She once asked, "Yorddy, is your gym going to look like a dude's gym?" I paused to think because I didn't understand what she meant by a "dude's gym." Then I knew what she what saying. without her actually saying it. "She meant, is my gym going to fill me with fear and intimidation?"Why do some people feel intimidated when they encounter a squat rack or leg curl? Kind of like they want to run and head for the hills. Is this why 95 percent of gym-goers abandon their commitment-their New Year's resolutions (to become more resilient, sexy, fit, handsome, etc.)? Who's to blame for this? Am I, the trainer partly to blame for this? In all reality, a gym is not supposed to be a "dude's gym, " it should be a place for all! The gym should be the place where broken individuals can find solace. A place where the words "rich" and "poor" have no meaning at all. Regrettably, the reverse is the case today, as there are not many gyms out there that truly care about their members. This must change! So, with the hopes of helping new gym goers find their way, I wrote this 2-part book.
