🔹 Step 1: Create or Open Your Company File
Open QuickBooks Premier and click:
“Create a new company” if you're starting fresh
“Open or restore an existing company” if you’ve been given a .QBW file
Follow the EasyStep Interview to enter basic details like:
Company name & EIN
Fiscal year start

🔹 Step 2: Customize Your Chart of Accounts
Your chart of accounts is the backbone of your reporting.
You can:
Add custom accounts (e.g., Marketing, Loan Payable)
Merge duplicates
Set account numbers for easier tracking
To edit: Lists > Chart of Accounts > Right-click > Edit
