RENCONTRE VW CHATEAU D'OEX - This is an event that you do not want to miss! David will be preforming in one the coolest areas of our renovated downtown districts where the atmosphere will be filled with music, food and excitement.
Back by popular demand, camping for this event is once again available to our group at the Watkins Glen State Park. Camping is also available at the Watkins Glen International Race track for the VW group. This event is scheduled during the US Vintage Grand Prix race at Watkins Glen Race track. That weekend is very crowded in town due to race enthusiasts and the races at the track. Friday afternoon will be difficult to get through town due to road races on the old track on the city streets and county roads, which go through town and up through the State Park route. So from noon to 6 or so will be difficult to traverse the town and get to the campground. We have two options: Camping on the race track or camping at the state park. Camping at Watkins Glen State Park No reservations needed and pay when you show up. We have access to the Onondaga Village loop. Sites 155 to 203. Two vehicles per site are allowed, so buddy up and make friends. Brand new toilets will remain accessible for our group. I will also reserve the Iroquois Lodge, just in case we want to do a group together meal of some sort. SORRY NO ELECTRIC SITES Camping fees will be managed by the Watkins Glen State Park — not me. We will be able to have 2 vehicles per campsites. Unless someone volunteers to do it. I am only coordinating the camping arrangements at the State Park and also at the race track. Camping at Watkins Glen Race Track The Glen race track has set up a special package pricing for our group. Green Lane Park is a wooded county campground about an hour from Philadelphia, surrounded by hiking and biking trails, a lake, and a playground for the kids.
