Gustavo Petro, Candidate for the Presidency, confirmed Sunday the favouritism that was evident in polls over the last few weeks.

(Positions of the candidates for the Historic Pact to Pensions and Inflation).

The win was won by Bogota's previous senator and mayor of the Republic. This means that he is a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic which that he is aspiring to for the 3rd time.

He is the most authentic persona in the Colombian left and a strong presidential candidate, despite his controversial ideas and proposals on many aspects, including economic.

Petro has expressed his intention to make a readjustment to the pension system through the creation of a public administrator of pension funds, resulting in the benefit of a "mixed and complimentary system" in conjunction with private funds.

He stated that Colombia has no pension system, but rather a system of bank profit. This is the reason that many believe would make Petro the most likely choice to win the Presidency. Petro recently stated that although the pension system would not be eliminated but he would pursue reforms in pensions to ensure an age of retirement for Colombians. He has also said there's "no necessity" to raise the pension age.

(Who make up the Historic Pact's list of possible candidates). that has been a source of controversy is that he's repeatedly said that he would stop extraction of oil as soon as his appointment. This has created confusion among investors and also among the market as a whole.

Experts believe that Petro's plan to end oil exploration would be devastating for Colombia and cost Colombia $4.3 trillion.

In addition to this, the proposal is the idea of establishing an anti-oil front within the region and the world that will move the economy away from fossil fuels for which I'd like to invite the new president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, and the Brazilian Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, as well as others.

Petro claimed that he was speaking with Pedro Sanchez (the Prime Minister of Spain) about his proposal.

His position on health issues is also controversial. He insists on ending EPS, and replacing it by an preventive model of healthcare that "guarantees individuals' rights and not bankers' profits." raised doubts about the independence of the Banco de la Republica. He stated that he would make reforms when he becomes the president.

Petro said that the Bank Board of Directors of the Bank was part of the Democratic Center, a political party. "What we seek is a truly independent Bank of the Republic (...) and it seems to us key to ensure that the Board of Directors is represented by the entire community," the candidate said in the middle of the debate.

Invamer asserts that Petro has the presidency's decision to vote.

The idea of creating money to finance government spending was not without controversy.

gustavo petro include an entirely new economic system that doesn't rely on fossil fuels. It also suggests hydrocarbon extraction. But, places more emphasis on agriculture. is also stated that he would introduce a tax reform that would eliminate exemptions and change minimum wage concepts into real wages based on capital and income.
