Review: The One-Pan College Cookbook by M.J. Hong is the perfect primer for college students. It includes tips for cooking in small spaces and money-saving strategies to use at the grocery store. With 80 easy, nutritious recipes prepared using only one pan, this cookbook is also helpful for young teen cooks and busy parents trying to put a quick healthy meal on the table before rushing off to or coming home from an extra-curricular class or sports practice. M.J. Hong teaches culinary classes in-person and virtually, with the majority of her classes having an international flair. As an occasional student of hers, I can attest that she presents delicious, well-developed recipes in an easy-to-follow format. M.J.’s knowledge of global cuisine is evident throughout the cookbook which will appeal to a variety of tastes and help to develop a young person’s palette. I am excited to give this book to my niece, who is a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh, and my pre-teen granddaughter, who is just beginning to learn to cook.

Review: I gave this cookbook to my grandniece who is in her second year of college and living off campus. She was thrilled to get it and went right to work picking out several recipes and buying the ingredients for them. It must have been a hit, because her mother thanked me on more than one occasion. Personally, I thought the recipes sounded flavorful and easy to prepare. The perfect for a college student learning to cook.
