Larry Edwards, author of Edwardian Cooking: 80 Recipes Inspired by Downton Abbey’s Elegant Meals, is a classically trained chef and internationally renowned food writer. His dishes and recipes have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and internationally when he was a food editor for the National Examiner (online edition). He lives and works in Tucson, Santa Fe, and San Francisco.

Review: Dude, first of all, it's CHILE. If it's spelled chili it's gringo bean soup with spices, tomatoes, meat & beans. CHILE is a hot pepper. Second, green chile is hotter than red. Third, I've lived in the SW for 48 years. Green chile stew IS green. If it's red, like the picture shown, it's either RED CHILE STEW, or it's GRINGO FOOD, aka CHILI. Fourth, I've never found tamale pie on the menu ANYWHERE. Tamales, yes. Tamale pie? Never. Either figure out the reality of what you're trying to write about or stick to your own region

Title: Copy limits limit its usefulness

Review: The recipes appear to good, and are intelligently and thoughtfully included. Unfortunately, there is a copy limit on it, and this does not suit my procedure of copying those recipes of interest to a cookbook program (Paprika in my case) to plan and prepare menus and for shopping. As this stricture is arbitrary and the purchaser is not notified of this limitation I find it to harm my enjoyment of the book, and to cause me hesitates to purchase any cookbook in the kindle format. Therefore, I have lowered my rating.
