All 12 Atlantic City casinos have taken the first step toward obtaining Internet gaming permits ahead of a Sunday deadline set by New Jersey regulators.
Borgata and Caesars Entertainment, co-owned by Boyd Gaming and MGM Resorts, are among the casino operators that have notified state regulators of their plans to partner with https://best-online-casino-reviews.com/.
The notification is required for companies that intend to begin Internet gaming as soon as it is launched in the state. Regulators say the earliest online gaming could begin in New Jersey is November 23, but that it could be delayed into 2014.
Spengler said, "For those applicants who meet this filing deadline, the Division will be in a position to determine whether they can begin their Internet gaming (https://www.njoag.gov/about/divisions-and-offices/division-of-gaming-enforcement-home/internet-gaming-information/) operations by the go-live date."
New Jersey became the third state to legalize online gambling in February, after Nevada and Delaware. Major casinos see New Jersey as the most lucrative opportunity because of its size and because its law encompasses many forms of gambling beyond Nevada's online poker-only bill, for example.
Analysts estimate that Nevada's online gambling market will bring in between $50 million and $250 million annually, while New Jersey's will bring in between $500 million and $1 billion annually.

Tropicana Casino and Resort, which was sold in bankruptcy to a group of creditors led by Carl Icahn in 2009, and Golden Nugget, owned by Landry's, have also filed to offer online gaming.
The Web gaming authorization is limited to 12 land-based casinos in New Jersey that have partnered with online gaming companies like widgamer.com.
Trump Taj Mahal Casino has signed an agreement with Las Vegas-based Ultimate Gaming to bring Internet gambling to New Jersey, the companies announced Monday. Ultimate Gaming launched online poker in Nevada in April.
