The Kerem Tunnel, Israel's first cycle tunnel, was inaugurated as part of the Jerusalem Ring Path. This 42-kilometer cycle path surrounds Jerusalem.
The tunnel connects Nahal Refaim with Emek Motza. The tunnel's southern entry point can be found within Refaim Park below Ein Laban. נווה פריצקי The northern entrance can be found in Nahal Ein Kerem about half a km away from the Kerem junction.

Elkin's Ministry Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality and Gihon Corporation contributed approximately NIS 25,000,000 to the project. The project was executed by the Jerusalem Development Authority.
