This is a brief and rough description of my beliefs on the Christian position on veganism. It is primarily based on the Bible as recorded in the King James Version (KJV) with some other translations used occasionally where they provide more contemporary wording for easier understanding.
I explain my ideas first and put the Bible verses I used as my sources near the end of this report.
In summary, the Bible says God originally created people to not eat animals; but later on, He allowed people to eat animals to survive if necessary. God will no longer allow people and animals to eat animals and people after Jesus returns and restores the Earth. In the meantime, we are allowed to choose to not eat animals for compassion or health reasons, if we are so able to.
God does not require us to eat animals or any other food; but it might be necessary for some people to eat animal foods depending on their health status, access to foods, and circumstances.

Ancestral Diet and the Christian history of Veganism Part 1:
The true "ancestral diet" is raw vegan mostly fruitarian, not carnivore or omnivore as most supposedly "ancestral diet" promoters claim. Look up how God created humans to eat certain plants only and fruits mostly in the beginning as recorded in the Bible. It was not until after the Flood of Noah that God allowed humans to also eat animals to survive since the Flood wiped out the fruit trees and shifted the Earth's climate colder causing less available surface area warm enough to grow fruit trees. The Earth's climate has been returning to a warmer climate since the Flood. Humans and fruit trees were made for each other.

So humans were designed to cultivate fruits to keep them high in sugar and fat as they used to be before the Flood of Noah wiped them out. Humans have been cultivating high sugar and fat fruit for thousands of years with some examples of grape juice, wine, and olive oil as recorded in the Bible, paintings, and other ancient records and artifacts. Recent cultivations are merely restoring more fruit to their former high sugar and fat content.

More Christian History of Ancestral Veganism and the Corruption and Restoration of Creation. Part 2:
The Bible seems to be talking about the spiritual aspects of eating animals not health effects. The Bible also says God originally created people to eat certain plants and only after the flood of Noah were we allowed to eat animals too. Then God restricted which animals we were allowed to eat when He gave Moses the law and commandments. It wasn't until after Jesus ascended that God told Peter and the other apostles that we were once again allowed to eat all animals without sinning against God.
The Bible also says some God fearing people abstained from animal foods at some times in their lives. Belteshazzar, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Hebrew names Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah) refused to eat the Babylonian king's meat and ate only plant foods for 10 days after which they were judged to have a healthier appearance than their peers. People who took the Nazarite Vow, of whom Samson was the most notable example, seemed to also abstain from meat since they vowed not to touch a dead carcass during their vow.
The Bible also says all people and animals will no longer eat animals or people when Jesus returns and restores the Earth.
So yes, we are spiritually allowed to eat meat, but health wise we might not benefit from it and God did not design humans to eat animals originally nor will He allow it once He returns again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More Christian History of Ancestral Veganism and the Corruption and Restoration of Creation. Part 3:
In the beginning, the world was without sin and suffering and God told humans and animals to eat certain plants only. God placed the first two humans, Adam and Eve, into the Garden of Eden. In the garden, there were many plants, but the most relevant plants were the Tree of Life (ToL) and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (ToKoGaE). God said humans would die if they ate from the ToKoGaE but that humans would live forever if they did not disobey God, by eating from the ToKoGaE, and if they ate from the ToL.
Adam and Eve sinned the first human sin by disobeying God and eating from the ToKoGaE. This original sin and fall from innocence caused the rest of creation to be cursed and to also fall causing suffering to first begin on Earth and in creation.
The ground was cursed causing edible plants to not be as readily available without increased labor from man to produce it.
God banished humans from the Garden of Eden and the ToL.
For hundreds of years, humans still ate only certain plants, but they began sacrificing animals to God as payment for their sins.
These sacrifices of animals were actually precursors to the true sacrifice for sins that would come later in the form of Jesus Christ.
Due to rampant violence and corruption across the Earth, God flooded the Earth with water while sparing Noah's family and some animals.
After the flood, God allowed people to eat all animals for unspecified reasons. One theory is that the flood destroyed most of the readily available edible plants and shifted the climate of the Earth from warm to cold causing a significant reduction in available warm land area to grow these plants in.
Later, God told Moses to restrict the animals we were allowed to eat without sinning against God.
Still later, Jesus came, died on the cross to pay for our sins, rose from the grave and defeated death, and ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us.
After Jesus ascended to heaven, God told Peter and the Apostles that humans were now allowed to once again eat all animals without sinning against God.
The Bible says that Jesus will return to restore the Earth from it's cursed and fallen state and will no longer allow humans and animals to eat animals and humans.
So God allows humans to eat animals for survival in this fallen world without sinning against God, but God also did not design humans to eat animals.
So health wise, humans are supposed to eat certain plants only, but humans might also need to eat animals if there are not enough readily available plants to live healthfully.
God said humans can be saved from hell and go to heaven if we acknowledge and confess our sins to God, repent of our sins, and ask God to forgive of us of our sins by putting our faith in the blood sacrifice of Jesus as being sufficient to pay our debt of sins to God.
If we accept Jesus as our savior and Lord of our lives, souls, hearts, minds, and spirits, then God will accept Jesus' sacrifice for payment of our sins and declare us as forgiven and innocent again.
Once we die and/or Jesus returns, we will live with God and no longer live in this suffering world.
Jesus will stop all suffering on Earth when He returns to restore this world.
Therefore, reincarnation does not exist in the way that these other spiritual vegans seem to believe it does.
All humans are condemned to die once as wages for our sins. After death, all humans will be judged by God for their sins and either spend eternity with God in heaven or in the restored Earth or they will spend eternity in hell separated from God.
In the meantime, while humans live in the fallen world today, we are allowed to eat all animals without sinning against God, but we can also try to eat only plants that God designed us to do and reduce the suffering of animals out of compassion and love.
While I hope that you will someday no longer have to eat animal products, if you have to eat animal products to survive that is not sinning against God.
Just keep carefully listening to how your body reacts to certain foods.

The Possibility of Animals Understanding the Possibility of Life and Death as Well as Experiencing Emotions and Suffering.:
Some people say animals have no awareness of death or emotions or suffering and that they just basically have reflexes only. They say this justifies slaughtering animals and not considering their well being.
They say animals can not communicate with us anyway so humans probably just project their own ideas of emotions onto animals. Some people say the animals may have agreed to be here for food and want to be killed.
My response is the following:
Um, I think the running away, screaming, kicking clawing, etc. might be a hint that most animals do not want to die. Communication is not all spoken or written language only. Even if the animals wanted to be eaten, it might be better to just be safe and let them live just on the off chance they want to live.
Tell you what. Set-up a slaughter spot in front of the animals, slaughter one animal in plain view of the other animals, then any animals who want to be slaughtered should come skipping for joy to the slaughter spot so they can be slaughtered next. Slaughter the eager and willing ones and leave the others alone. Problem solved.

Dominion Over Animals and the Possibility of Vegan Diets Causing People to Do Bad Things.
(RBF Comments Response):
I received a comment from a person who will remain anonymous. I will use their username initials, RBF, to refer to them. RBF attempted to support the idea that the Bible says that God originally created animals to be food for humans, even before the Fall or the Flood, among other anti-vegan ideas. I will first show the comment and then I will show my response to the comment.
Here is the comment from RBF:
“Um….Christ fulfilled Torah. Animal sacrifice in the Temple continued until the sacking of Jerusalem in AD 70. He didn’t put an end to it. What He actually did was make ritual animal sacrifice for the reparation of sins, because He is the Lamb. That’s got absolutely nothing to do with food.
Even in Eden, YHWH told Adam to have dominion over and subdue all things; YHWH had Adam name the animals, and in naming them, he defined their purposes. We know that there were herds of livestock, cattle and sheep in the Garden, and Abel was a herdsman. GOD gave us these animals for sustenance, not pets.
Vegtardery became one of the things that turned mankind to depravity, and that depravity became the reason for the Flood, as well as the reason that YHWH specifically commanded Noah and his descendants to eat meat.
In the Gospels, Y’shua states explicitly that no food makes one unclean, but it’s the shit that comes from our minds and mouths that make us unclean. He fed the masses with fish and barley bred. He commanded Peter snd Andrew to cast their nets and they pulled up so much fish they couldn’t get it into the boat. He held Seder, which has lamb as it’s primary food. After His resurrection, he met the Apostles on the beach of the Red Sea snd roasted more fish for them. And in Acts chapter 8, He commanded Peter to violate kushrat, strangle a bird and eat it. Y’shua had ZERO problem with us eating meat. The Council of Jerusalem in the book of Acts only prescribes that the Church not scandalize the Jews they’re trying to convert by eating blood or food sacrificed to idols. But later, Paul says in his first letter to the Corinthians, “let no one judge you according to what you eat or drink.” In fact, when Paul told off Petet regarding the Antiochian Jews (retold in Galatians), it was because Peter as head of the Church was eating kosher with them, but eating freely when they weren’t around; Paul was calling him out for hypocrisy and told him to choose a team.
NOWHERE in scripture is the abstinence of meat ever advocated or commanded except in the context of fasting. GOD does not starve His children, for whom He made all of creation to start with.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The following is my response to RBF’s comments.:
Some of what you said is aligned with the Bible; but much of what you said is not.
Yes, Jesus ended animals sacrifices as a requirement for the payment of sins when He died on the cross and rose again from the grave.
The people who continued to sacrifice animals were rejecting Jesus as the true final sacrifice for their sins and so they kept trying to do what they had always done before Jesus' sacrifice.
These people who rejected Jesus are the ones who practice Judaism even today instead of accepting Jesus as their messiah.
The same people who rejected Jesus as the messiah are still trying to rebuild the temple to continue sacrificing animals and to bring about the arrival of the one they think is their messiah or Mashiach.
So again, Jesus did end animal sacrifices as a requirement when He died and rose again. Anyone else trying to continue sacrificing animals for their sins is rejecting the sacrifice of Jesus as sufficient for forgiveness of their sins and is not a Christian.
I never said animal sacrifices and the sacrifice of Jesus had anything to do with food.
In fact, animal sacrifices started after the Fall in Eden hundreds of years before God allowed humans to start eating animals after the Flood.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, God did not originally create animals for sustenance and dominion does not require eating them or ending their lives.
Yes, God did originally create animals to be pets and companions.
Adam named Eve just as he named the animals.
It was not until after the Flood that people were allowed to eat animals.
Yes, in Eden God told Adam to have dominion over the animals; but God also told Adam to only eat certain plant foods and fruits.
Since God did not allow humans to eat animals before the Flood and there were no animal sacrifices before the Fall, dominion does not require ending animal life or eating animals.
God originally planned for Adam to have dominion over animals without ending their lives or eating them.
It was not until after the Fall that God required animal sacrifices as payment for sins until Jesus' sacrifice ended them as a requirement.
It was not until even later after the Flood that God allowed people to eat animal foods.
Adam named the animals because God was trying to find Adam a companion, not to sacrifice the animals or eat them.
After God brought all the animals to Adam, none of the animals were good enough to be companions so God made Eve to be Adam's companion.
Adam is the one who named Eve both "woman" and "Eve" just as he named the animals, yet that does not show that Adam therefore had dominion over Eve, especially not in the same way that Adam had dominion over the animals.
Let me repeat that to be clear:
Adam named Eve just as he named the animals.
So Adam naming the animals does not show that Adam is required to use his dominion over the animals to end their lives or eat them.
In fact, the whole point of Adam naming the animals was to try to find a companion which resulted in Adam being given Eve.
So no, dominion does not require the ending of animal life or the eating of animal foods and God did not originally create them for sustenance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bible does not say that anyone kept any herds of livestock in the Garden.
Abel was not born until after the Fall. Abel was never in the Garden.
God expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden after the Fall and God blocked anyone from re-entering Eden by placing an angel with a flaming sword to guard the entrance to the Garden.
Yes, Abel was a herdsman after the Fall; but he did not eat the animals.
He sacrificed the animals for his sins since Jesus had not yet sacrificed himself on the cross.
It was not until after the Flood that God allowed people to eat animals to survive.
Let me repeat to be clear:
No, God did not originally create animals for sustenance or even sacrifice.
It was not until after the Fall that God required animal sacrifices for the payment of sins until Jesus' sacrifice ended it.
It was not until after the Flood that people were allowed to eat animals.
Yes, God did originally create animals to be pets and companions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What does "Vegtardery" even mean?
The Bible does not speak of "Vegtardery", veganism, or not eating animals being the reason for the corruption and violence that required the Flood to occur; nor is it written that God allowed people to start eating animals after the Flood because of "Vegtardery" or anything similar to it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is not written in the Bible that eating animals prevents violence or corruption nor does it tell that not eating animals causes it.
If you think eating animals is required to prevent depravity, then you are close to saying God caused people to be depraved when He told them to not eat animals when He created people.
The Bible says the Flood was needed to end corruption and violence and the continually non-good thoughts of men.
After the Flood, God instituted capital punishment to try to prevent the violence and corruption from happening again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Before the Flood, God kept letting people who were violent and corrupt live free with a mark on them to prevent anyone from ending their lives.
It seems that God needed to allow capital punishment to stop violence and corruption from spreading.
The most likely reason God allowed people to start eating animals was to allow people to survive since the Flood removed the fruit trees and shifted the climate colder which reduced the area of the Earth warm enough to grow fruit trees. The climate has been returning to a warmer one since the Flood.
So no, "Vegtardery" was not the cause of the violence and corruption before the Flood and it was not the reason God allowed people to start eating animals after the Flood.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree, the Bible says it is not what we eat that defiles us; but it is what we think and say that does.
That does not mean that God requires people to eat animals.
That only means that food will not cause one to sin nor will it save one from one's own sins.
Also, eating animals is not the same as unnecessarily ending animal lives or causing them unnecessary suffering.
While eating an animal to survive is not a sin, ending animal lives for taste pleasure alone or causing animals unnecessary suffering can be at least an indication that someone might not have a good heart or mind which could show that person might have defiled themselves with impure thoughts and actions of gluttony and malevolence.
Yes, the Bible shows Jesus eating and serving animals for food; but those are descriptive not prescriptive accounts of what occurred.
Just because Jesus did something, that does not mean that God requires everyone else to do the same thing.
Jesus ate and shared with others what He had on hand. Jesus did not come to restore the Earth yet. He came to end animal sacrifices and pay for our sins with his sacrifice on the cross.
Jesus will no longer allow people and animals to eat animals and people when He returns again to restore the Earth as shown in Revelation and other books of the Bible.
If you are referring to when God commanded Peter to eat the unclean animals, that was a vision that was not literally telling Peter to eat unclean animals.
That was a vision from God that Peter interpreted as God telling him to accept the Gentiles into the salvation that the Israelites already received.
Paul was pointing out Peter's lack of honesty. Paul was not insisting that Peter eat animals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bible never says that animal foods are required to not starve.
The Bible does say that some God fearing people abstained from animal foods at some times in their lives even after the Flood and not just in the context of fasting.
After the king's men saw how healthy they were after not eating animal foods, the king's men then had the other men eat the same foods that Daniel and his friends had been eating, which did not include animal foods.
This means that Daniel and the other men seemed to eat no animal foods for years which shows it was not just a fast.
People who took the Nazarite Vow, of whom Samson was the most notable example, seemed to also abstain from meat since they vowed not to touch a dead carcass during their vow.
Samson was the strongest person in the Bible and he did not eat animal foods for years which shows it was not just a fast.
The Bible also says all people and animals will no longer eat animals or people when Jesus returns and restores the Earth.
So yes, we are spiritually allowed to eat meat, but health wise we might not benefit from it and God did not design humans to eat animals originally nor will He allow it once He returns again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name the Trait (NTT):
It should be noted that the Bible says that there is a distinction between humans and animals that allows humans to be prioritized over animals. Humans are made in the image of God and animals are not. Some people say humans also have souls while animals do not; but this is debatable.

Commentary on Whether Specific Bible Verses Require or Prohibit Killing and / or Eating Animals. Including 1 Timothy 4:1-5 and the Commandment “Thou Shalt Not Kill”.:
Some people say that 1 Timothy 4:1-5 says that God created animals to be eaten, even from before the original human sin and the Fall. They say this means God requires people to eat animals for spiritual and / or health reasons.
Other people say that the commandment “thou shalt not kill” includes the prohibition of killing animals.
Even more arguments are given to try to say that the Bible says something in support or opposition for veganism.
The following is my response:
No, 1 Timothy 4:1-5 does not show that God requires people to eat animals for spiritual or health reasons.
Genesis 1:26-29 clearly says God originally told humans to eat only certain plant foods and fruits, not animals. Genesis 2:18-23 shows God created animals to be some of Adam’s and our companions, not food.
Belteshazzar, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Hebrew names Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah) and Samson were God fearing people who seemed to not eat animal foods for extended periods of time and yet they were healthy and God blessed them which indicates God does not require people to eat animals.
Romans 14 shows that God allows people to not eat animals if their faith does not allow them to do so.
Ephesians 2:8-9 shows that God grants people salvation and forgiveness of their sins by His grace through the sacrifice of Jesus and not by any works that people can do. If God required people to eat animals, then God would be requiring people to do a work, instead of relying on God’s grace. Therefore, eating animals is not required by God, especially not for salvation.
Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross ended the requirement for animal sacrifice for forgiveness of sins as shown in Hebrews 10:10-14 and 1 John 2:1-2. Therefore, animal sacrifice can not be a reason to continue slaughtering and / or eating animals.
After Jesus returns and restores the Earth, He ends the eating of animals and humans as shown in Isaiah 11:6-9, Isaiah 65:25, Revelation 21:4, and Revelation 22:2-3. Therefore, God clearly does not plan on people continuing to eat animals in the restored Earth which shows that God only temporarily allows people to eat animals if they need to survive in this current fallen and cursed creation.
So it is clear that 1 Timothy 4:1-5 does not show that God requires people to eat animals for spiritual or health reasons.
What it does show is that God gave Paul a prophetic warning that some people would try to prohibit marrying and eating animals for reasons that are not from God. These people probably say that it is a sin to eat animals, even for survival; but this is not what the Bible says.
Genesis 9:2-6 shows, starting after the Flood, God allowed people to eat animals to survive without sinning against God.
Jesus said that it is not what one eats; but it is what comes from one’s heart that defiles oneself (Mark 7:14-23).
Jesus fed other people fish, told his disciples to catch fish, and He Himself ate fish as shown in Matthew 14:13-21, John 21:1-14, and Luke 24:36-43.
Yet the Bible says Jesus did not commit any sin and that Jesus’ sacrifice would not be worthy to pay for our sins if He did commit any sin. This is shown in Hebrews 10:10-14, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 John 3:5, and 1 Peter 2:21-22.
Therefore, Jesus eating fish and feeding it to others also indicates that eating animals is not currently a sin against God.
Some people say that the Bible is not referring to fish, but instead it is referring to fish weed, which is a type of seaweed which is a plant, not an animal. I have not looked into this enough yet; but I suspect it is not true. From what I have seen so far, the history of the churches’ interpretation of this is that Jesus ate fish, not fish weed, and that it is heretical Gnostics who try to interpret fish as fish weed.
Even if Jesus did not eat fish; Genesis 9:2-6 and 1 Timothy 4:1-5 still show that God currently allows people to eat animals to survive without sinning against Him.
Other people say that the seventh of the Ten Commandments, “thou shalt not kill” (Deuteronomy 5:13), includes prohibiting killing of animals. This is false. God required people to sacrifice animals to Him as a symbol of forgiveness of their sins until Jesus returned to sacrifice Himself, which ended the requirement for animal sacrifices. Animal sacrifices started immediately after the original human sin and the Fall as shown in Genesis 3:20-24 and continued even during the time that the Ten Commandments were given. Also, I already showed how God currently allows people to eat animals to survive in this Fallen and cursed creation.
Therefore, the commandment “though shalt not kill” does not include the killing of animals currently. Once Jesus returns to restore creation, no one will need to eat animals to survive and therefore God will not allow it then (Isaiah 11:6-9, Isaiah 65:25, Revelation 21:4, Revelation 22:2-3).
Some people say that Jesus could have ended the suffering and eating of animals when He first was on Earth.
Vegans often say this means Jesus either ate fish weed instead of fish, or that Jesus was not really a good person since He could have ended animal suffering; but He chose not to.
Anti-vegans often say that Jesus and God intended for people to eat animals even when it is not necessary for people to survive. They say that Jesus would have ended animal suffering and eating animals if God did not want people to eat animals which shows God originally created people to eat animals or at least everyone needs to eat animals currently.
My response is that Jesus was not supposed to restore the Earth and creation yet. Jesus is supposed to restore creation when He returns.
There is a bigger issue, beyond animal suffering, with assuming that Jesus should have restored creation during His first visit. People suffer too, it is not just animals who suffer. If Jesus could have or should have ended animal suffering, then should not He even more so end human suffering?
Since people are still suffering even after Jesus came and went, does that mean that Jesus created people to suffer and / or that people are supposed to continue purposefully inflicting suffering on other people even when it is unnecessary?
The Bible clearly says God originally did not create people to suffer, when He created Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and that Jesus will end human suffering when He returns to restore creation.
Therefore, it is clear that God allows necessary suffering to continue currently, even for humans, yet God still does not want people to continue inflicting unnecessary suffering on each other. This then shows that Jesus not yet ending suffering of animals does not show that people are supposed to eat animals if they do not need to for survival.

Commentary on Romans 14. Weakness of Faith not Physical Strength.:
The Bible did not say that people who did not eat animals were physically weak. It was talking about faith, not physical strength.
This is in reference to Romans 14:2.:
“For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.”
- Paul. Romans 14:2. The Bible. KJV.
"One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables."
- Romans 14:2. Paul. The Bible. NIV.
When the Bible says weak people in this instance, it is not talking about physical strength. Instead it is talking about the lack of the strength of the faith that God allows them to eat animals without sinning against God, if they need to do so to survive. The people who do not believe that God allows them to eat animals to survive are being called weak in faith.
Again, the Bible did not say that people who did not eat animals were physically weak. It was talking about faith, not physical strength.

In the Garden of Eden before the Fall of man and creation, just after God gave Adam and Eve dominion over animals, He also told them to eat only certain plants and fruits. God also created humans in the image of God, which is the trait that justifies human dominion over animals and prioritizing humans over animals.:
"26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”
- God. Genesis 1:26-29. KJV.

In the Garden of Eden before the Fall, Adam names the animals and woman.:
"18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him."
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
- Genesis 2:18-23. KJV.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After the Fall, Adam names his wife Eve, the first animal sacrifice is performed, and God expels Adam and Eve from the Garden.:
"20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."
- Genesis 3:20-24. KJV.

After the Fall and expulsion from the Garden, Cain and Abel are born and Abel becomes a shepherd for sacrificing animals not eating them.:
"1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect."
- Genesis 4:1-5. KJV.

After the Flood God allowed people to eat animals and instituted capital punishment to reduce violence.:
"2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5 And surely I will require the life of any man or beast by whose hand your lifeblood is shed. I will demand an accounting from anyone who takes the life of his fellow man:
6 Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man his blood will be shed; for in His own image God has made mankind."
- God. Genesis 9:2-6. KJV.

Samson was physically the strongest person recorded in the Bible and he seemed to have not eaten animals for years due to one of the requirements of his Nazarite Vow to not touch a dead body.:
“2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the Lord:
6 All the days that he separateth himself unto the Lord he shall come at no dead body.”
- Numbers 6:2,6. The Bible. KJV.
“1 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.
2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.
3 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.
4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:
7 But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.
…
24 And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him.”

After the king's men saw how healthy they were after not eating animal foods, the king's men then had the other men eat the same foods that Daniel and his friends had been eating, which did not include animal foods.
This means that Daniel and the other men seemed to eat no animal foods for years which shows it was not just a fast.:
“3 And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes;
4 Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.
5 And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
6 Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
7 Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego.
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
9 Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.
10 And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.
11 Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
12 Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.
13 Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.
14 So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
15 And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.
16 Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.
17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18 Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.
20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
21 And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.”

Jesus ended the need for animals sacrifices with his own sacrifice on the cross.:
"10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."
- Hebrews 10:10-14. KJV.
"1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
- 1 John 2:1-2. KJV.

Peter’s vision of God telling him to eat animals was not literal. It was a figurative message that Peter was to now take the message of the Gospel to the Gentiles, not just to the Jews.:
“1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
7 And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;
8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.
9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”

After Jesus returns and restores the Earth, He ends the eating of animals and humans.:
"6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."
- God. Isaiah 11:6-9. The Bible. KJV.
"The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD."
- God. Isaiah 65:25. The Bible. KJV.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
- Peter. Revelation 21:4. The Bible. KJV.
"2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse..."

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

“1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”
- Paul. Romans 14. The Bible. KJV.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“1 Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written:
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”
12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.
19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall.
22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23 But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.”

The Ten Commandments:
“1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.”

Jesus says that what defiles a person is not what they eat; but what comes from their heart.:
“10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: 11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? 13But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. 16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? 17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.”

Jesus feeds 5,000 people fish and bread to alleviate their hunger.:
“13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.
14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

“1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself. 2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. 3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. 6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. 7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. 8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. 10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. 11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. 13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. 14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.”

Jesus eats fish, after His resurrection, to show the disciples His body is real and not a hallucination.:
“36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.”
